今朝、玄関をノックする音がしたので開けたら、男の人が立っていた。家の周りの雑草を刈ったのでいくらかお金を払って欲しいと言う。相場が分からなかったので、いくら欲しいか訊いてみたら、5セディと言う。この前は別の人がタダで刈ってくれた（しかもその人は中庭の掃除までしてくれた）ので、高すぎるような気がして、3セディだけ払った。私にはそれが充分なのか少なすぎるのか見当がつかなかったけど、彼は嬉しそうに帰って行った。でも、次回は刈る前に言ってね、と伝えた。じゃないと払わないよー。
This morning someone knocked the gate of my house. I opened it and there was a man standing there. He said he cut all the grasses around my house and asked me how much I give him. I had no idea so I asked him how much he wants. He said 5 cedis. I thought its too much because last time another man did it for me for free (actually he also swept my patio) so I just gave him 3 cedis. I wondered if it was enough or too small but he looked very happy. But next time he should notice me before he does, I told him. Otherwise I wont pay at all.
